Per il ciclismo bastano normali calze sportive? Meglio di no. Le calze da donna sono appositamente progettate per il ciclismo sono fondamentali per la salute dei piedi, sottoposti ad uno sforzo particolare. E sono passati i tempi in cui un solo paio di calze da ciclismo andava bene per tutto l'anno: ora la tecnologia è avanzata e porta alla differenziazione.

Esistono calze da ciclismo da donna e per ogni stagione. Durante il periodo invernale lo scopo è mantenere i piedi al caldo anche se utilizzi dei copriscarpe. Le calze da ciclismo ideali per la stagione fredda abbinano la lana alle fibre sintetiche studiate apposta per l’isolamento termico. Le migliori, poi, assorbono il sudore del piede e lo trasformano in calore, in particolare in punta e sul tallone, dove è fondamentale mantenere alta la temperatura.

Durante l’estate, l’obiettivo è di mantenere il piede al fresco per evitare i riscaldamenti, e quindi un eccessivo sbalzo di pressione. Le calze estive da ciclismo sono sintetiche con fibre che aiutano ad evacuare l’umidità e limitano gli odori. Tutti i migliori modelli presentano una banda di mantenimento al livello del plantare per mantenere il piede durante la tua pratica.
